Requirements
- Strong experience in C programming, with a proven track record of developing efficient and reliable code.
- Profound knowledge of Linux networking, with the ability to navigate and troubleshoot networking issues effectively.
- In-depth understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, IPv6, routing, NAT, VXLAN, and DNS.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools, including Wireshark and tcpdump.
- Hands-on experience with FD.io VPP (Vector Packet Processing) as an advanced user, preferably with involvement in VPP code-base development.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Cloud Native technology stack, including containers, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, operators, and monitoring.
- Proficiency in coding with Golang and Python, enabling you to develop versatile and efficient applications.
- Experience with 3GPP telecommunication technologies, particularly in areas like RADIUS, Diameter, and GTP tunneling.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the FPP-VPP and UPG-VPP open-source projects for 5G/LTE, driving the implementation of new features and addressing bugs.
- Use your debugging skills to resolve issues identified in production environments using UPG-VPP.
- Collaborate with the team to investigate and address challenges in FD.io VPP, enhancing the VPP code base as needed.
- Deploy VPP network functions within Kubernetes test environments, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
- Develop closed-source Golang applications that manage UPG-VPP deployments, contributing to the comprehensive network solution.
